About Me
Hello! I am Scout Jarman. I was born in California but grew up in Alpine, Utah. I am a data scientist who enjoys the coding and HPC aspects of research. In my free time, I'm either cooking, climbing, gaming or working out!
Why I Came to USU
I earned a BS in Mathematics and Statistics Composite with a minor in Computer Science from USU in 2021. While I was an undergraduate, I worked on research for the first time with Dr. Brennan Bean and knew that it was what I wanted to do as a career. Given that I already knew the faculty and staff at USU, it was an easy decision to stay and pursue my graduate work.
