About Me

I am from Seattle originally, I have lived in San Antonio as well as Romania both for several years. Most recently I was consulting in the produce industry focused on category management analytics. I like with my spouse Julianna and our cat Rory. In my free time I enjoy cooking and travel, before coming back to school I made several trips to Europe and have my sights set on South Korea or Thailand next.

Why I Came to USU

I came to USU because we have family in the valley, four nephews ages 1-8 and we love spending time with them and helping them have an awesome childhood. We love how beautiful the valley is but aren't obsessed with the winters and look forward to a more mild climate after finishing my program.

Research Focus/Study

My area of research is statistical applications to large-scale data for spatial analysis. More specifically we are using NOAA provided LIDAR data of Fairbanks Alaska to challenge assumptions about the way snow stays on rooves and the effects had on snow-load by factors such as roof angle, directional facing, wind, time since last snow, etc.
