PhD Interdisciplinary Math

About Me
I am a PhD student pursuing an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Mathematics and Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences. My research is driven by my desire to build a more inclusive, empathetic, and socially aware approach to mathematics—one that honors and incorporates students’ diverse experiences, cultures, and identities. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading and playing the piano.
Why I Came to USU
I came to USU for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in matheamtics and statisics education. I chose to stay at USU because of it's supportive and collaborative community. I have had many opportunities to engage in meaningful research while also building lasting connections with peers and faculty. My time at USU has allowed me to grow personally and professionally, creating an educational experience that is both well-rounded and enriching.
