Brooks Ogborn Student Teacher Rent Alleviation Program

Undergraduate Need-Based

Recipient must be enrolled in the Mathematics and Statistics Department completing their student teaching requirements. Must be paying rent as a tenant to live somewhere. Preference shall be given to recipients with a minimum 3.1 cumulative GPA. Preference shall be given to recipients with a financial need.

Departmental Mathematics & Statistics Scholarship

Undergraduate Need-Based

For an undergraduate student with a declared major in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. Recipients will be selected with equal consideration given to their financial need and overall most recent GPA.

James Powell Endowed Mathematics Graduate Scholarship

Graduate

For graduate students in mathematical biology or applied/interdisciplinary mathematics with a 3.5+ GPA. Applicants must be actively engaged in thesis or dissertation research with their faculty advisor. Preference is given to PhD and applied/interdisciplinary math or math bio students, with secondary preference for MS and statistics students.

Joe and Carletta J. Elich Scholarship

Undergraduate Graduate Need-Based

Open to students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics who have demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and personal integrity.

Joy Elise Weaver Memorial Scholarship

Graduate Need-Based

For graduate students in the Statistics program, with preference for those demonstrating financial need.

Neville C. and Annie P. Hunsaker Mathematics Scholarship

Undergraduate

Undergraduate mathematics students must be a full-time student and the award is to be based on superior academic achievement, demonstrated by an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 or more. Preference should be given to the children of former students of Utah State University.

Peter Maring and Sharon Lee Gardner Ellis Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduate

Future generations of students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. May be awarded to a student majoring in Mathematics Education with an overall GPA of 3.5 with at least a 3.0 in all required mathematics courses. Recipients shall not simultaneously hold any other academic scholarship of significant value. The primary criterion for evaluation shall be the potential to challenge, inspire and teach young mathematics students.

Susan Barton Scholarship in Mathematics

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors

Tuition and fees for Junior or Senior in Math. Must be studying Math or Math Education and report involvement in leadership roles.
