Biography
Tia Rowley, MSW, LCSW, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Social Work at Utah State University's Brigham City Campus. She earned her MSW from the University of Utah in 2018 and her BS in Family Life Studies from Utah State University in 2011. Tia has over 15 years of experience serving individuals, families, and communities in a variety of social service and clinical settings, including child welfare, higher education, crisis intervention, community resource development, mental health treatment, and private practice. Tia is passionate about developing future social workers through student-centered teaching, mentorship, and meaningful connections with the social work community. At Utah State University, her work has focused on teaching, field education, student mentorship, recruitment, and community engagement. She also maintains a private clinical practice providing therapy to teens and adults experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Her professional interests include student mental health, grief and loss, crisis intervention, clinical social work practice, and helping students develop the confidence and skills needed for meaningful careers in social work.
