Established in 2009, Science Unwrapped is the College of Arts & Sciences’ public STEM outreach program. During the school year, Science Unwrapped hosts free monthly gatherings featuring a brief science lecture, followed by hands-on learning activities and refreshments. Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to learn about the wonders, the joys, the mishaps, the fun, the unexpected detours and the excitement of scientific discovery.
Science Unwrapped, the public outreach program of the College of Arts and Sciences returns Friday, Sept. 18, with the presentation, "The Hidden Science Behind Artistic Expression," with physicist David Smith. The evening, which kicks off the Fall 2026 "InterPLAY of Art and Science" series, begins at 7 p.m. in ESLC 130. All are welcome and admission is free.
