Talk Description
Youth sport has become serious business, as adults tightly oversee youth sport context and early sport specialization has become common. Al will share how playful sport is challenged by these trends, yet is fundamental to excelling as an athlete and reaping the developmental benefits of sport participation. He will offer suggestions for re-centering play, and young people themselves, in youth sport.
