Talk Description

Summer is hot, winter is cold and spring is wet. But have you ever wondered why some seasons are hotter or colder, wetter or drier than normal? Using sound waves, USU climate scientist Jon Meyer will explore how cycles in climatic conditions across Earth’s oceans and land masses conduct the symphony of Utah’s seasonal experiences from year to year.
