Faculty Service Award
The Faculty Service Award is given each year to recognize and encourage excellence in service to university operations and governance. While other scholarly activity such as research and publication may be considered, primary emphasis is on service to the department, the college, the university, the community, and the profession. Nominees must be full-time faculty members (tenure-track, tenured, or term appointments) without administrative role statements.
Criteria
- Excellence in institutional service for at least three years.
- Evidence of effective leadership while involved in service activities.
- Evidence of outstanding quality, innovation, and impact in service activities.
Nomination Materials
- A letter of nomination of up to two pages from the department head or designee.
- Abbreviated CV related to the award’s criteria (the College Dean’s Office will pull one from Watermark to be included).
Recognition
Recognized at the College Awards Ceremony and will represent the college in the annual Robins Award competition.
Each department may nominate one person for this award who meets the criteria outlined.
Due Date
Nominations are due to the box folder provided by Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office during the open nomination window between December 1-15.
