The GOAT Award

The GOAT Award recognizes faculty and staff who are resilient, resourceful, and willing to climb towards new possibilities. Much like a sure-footed mountain goat, these individuals persevere through challenges, take thoughtful chances, and use their steady footing and creativity to elevate and strengthen their colleagues, their departments, their students, and the larger ArtSci community.

Criteria & Eligibility

  1. Faculty and staff are eligible to be nominated.
  2. Work should reflect thoughtful risk-taking and resiliency while striving for improvement of programs, departments, units, students, and others.
  3. While teaching innovations are welcome, the emphasis here is not solely restricted to innovative courses.

Nomination Materials

  1. A letter of nomination of up to two pages from the department head or designee.

Recognition

Recognized at the College Awards Ceremony.

Due Date

Nominations are due by December 1 to the Box folder provided by the ArtSci Dean’s Office to the Department Head.
