Researcher of the Year

The faculty Researcher of the Year Award is given each year to the individual from the College who has completed the most outstanding research within the previous three years. The Vice President for Research sponsors a university award to recognize the University Researcher of the Year from among the College nominees.

Criteria

  1. The basis for selection is the significance and quality of the research or creative achievement as distinct from service or teaching.
  2. Faculty of assistant professor rank or above are eligible. Nominee must complete three full years at USU before being nominated.

Nomination Materials

  1. A letter of nomination of up to two pages from the department head or designee.
  2. Abbreviated CV related to the award’s criteria. The College Dean’s Office will pull one from Watermark to be included.

Recognition

Recognized at the College Awards Ceremony. Will also be recognized at the USU Faculty Awards Ceremony.

Each department may nominate one person for this award who meets the criteria outlined.

Due Date

Nominations are due to the box folder provided by Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office during the open nomination window between December 1-15.
