Lawrence O. Cannon Teaching Excellence Award

Nominations will be reviewed by the college’s associate deans, who will then make a recommendation to the dean. After their initial review of nominations, the associate deans may request additional materials from nominees.

Criteria

This award is open to faculty members of any rank

Requires a minimum of five years of teaching at USU, preference will be given to new awardees.

Nomination Materials

  1. A letter of no more than 500 words that describes the faculty member’s sustained teaching success both inside and outside the classroom, including student impact and outcomes
  2. If available to the nominator, a CV of no more than two pages that highlights the faculty member’s accomplishments in teaching may be included

Recognition

The announcement will be the culminating moment at the ArtSci Awards Ceremony. The awardee will receive $4,000 and a plaque.

Nominations are due on January 30 to the ArtSci Dean's Office (ESLC 245) or via email to artsci@usu.edu.
