The Department of Biology welcomes all who seek to discover and advance knowledge in the biological sciences. We foster an inclusive, supportive environment that nurtures curiosity and promotes the joy of scientific inquiry for all, whether working directly to solve a pressing problem to human wellbeing or studying the basic biology of any organism. Our department is home to incredible teachers, scholars, students, and staff. We have state of the art facilities for teaching, research, and outreach (including the Intermountain Herbarium, the USU Insect Collection, a science garden, and teaching greenhouse).
