We represent the graduate students of the Utah State University Biology Department. The BGSA organizes social events, gatherings, and public outreach programs for the Biology graduate students and local community. These include weekly happy hours, end of year socials and officer elections, yearly yurt trips, fundraisers, and more.

Applications must be submitted to the form by 11:59 PM on the day of the deadline.
Award recipients will be notified in early to mid November.
In addition to this, BGSA maintains a separate emergency fund eligible only for biology graduate students. This fund is intended to provide more immediate and flexible support for urgent needs, such as unforeseen medical expenses or other critical circumstances.
Biology graduate students facing sudden economic hardship that may impact their ability to strive academically in their research, coursework, or basic needs are encouraged to reach out. To apply or request more information, please contact the current BGSA President or Vice President.
