CANRI offers paid undergraduate internships that provide hands-on experience addressing important community and natural resource issues in Utah and beyond. Interns work closely with faculty mentors on applied projects and build skills in areas such as survey research, data analysis, science communication, policy engagement, event coordination, and public outreach. Opportunities vary by year and may include supporting the Beehive State Panel, the Great Salt Lake Social Science Network, CANRI’s research communication efforts, and other emerging initiatives. Positions are tailored when possible to students’ academic interests and career goals, with opportunities to contribute to publications, presentations, research briefs, and other products with real-world impact.
