Alice Mae Lemon

Alice Mae Lemon graduated from Utah State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in viola. After graduation, she dedicated many years to raising her family while remaining actively involved in music through performance, teaching, and community ensembles.

She renewed her teaching certificate and spent six years as a substitute teacher, discovering a passion for education along the way. Throughout her career, she has taught piano and violin students, performed in a string quartet, led the viola section of the Northern Wasatch String Orchestra, and sung with the American Festival Chorus for 13 seasons. One of the highlights of her musical career was performing with her high school string orchestra at the Western Division Music Educators National Conference in Las Vegas.
